Accessibility in Action: Turning the What, Why, & How of Accessibility into Practice

Part of our UDL-Con: Live Online conference (full registration not required), this 3-hour preconference workshop on July 20, 2026 breaks down the essentials of accessible educational materials and assistive/accessible technology and shows how they work together with Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

Through guided discussion, examples, and practical application, participants will build a clearer understanding of how accessibility supports learner variability and strengthens everyday instruction. Walk away with actionable ideas and strategies for designing learning that works for all learners from the start.

This preconference session also includes free registration for the CAST UDL Credential Level 1: Mindset.

Each module takes about two weeks to complete and includes a mix of readings, multimedia, and activities. The coursework is the equivalent of 24 contact hours.

Enrollment can begin at any time after purchase. Upon activating their enrollment, educators will have six weeks of access to complete the course.

Ideal for groups of 20+ educators who want access to guided support, the six-week Instructor-Led Introduction to Designing for Accessibility course includes two remote group sessions with a live expert facilitator and access to office hours for one-on-one support with them.
