Sharpen your professional development skills, build a powerful leadership portfolio, and lead inclusive change in your school or district.
CAST is excited to announce the launch of the pilot cohort for our new UDL Coaching Academy—an instructor-led professional learning experience designed to advance the skills of PreK-12 instructional coaches, teacher leaders, and school and district administrators. Beginning in October 2026, this immersive eight-month program bridges the gap between Universal Design for Learning (UDL) theory and real-world leadership, guiding you in refining your coaching skills, expanding your leadership capabilities, and ultimately empowering your educators and teams for maximum impact.
Over the course of the academy, you will learn directly from CAST experts and collaborate with a community of peer leaders during live interactive sessions. Through guided coursework and exercises based in your own real-world setting, you will be able to immediately integrate high-impact coaching strategies directly into your daily school or district practice. Along the way, you’ll curate a professional coaching portfolio that serves as a lasting resource and provides tangible evidence of your growth and systemic impact.
This academy is built to deliver ongoing professional value. Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn the new CAST Coaching Credential 1: Coaching Teachers and Teams to formally validate your expertise, and you’ll gain access to the Coaching Academy Alumni Network for ongoing collaboration, professional learning, and resource sharing. As a participant in this pilot cohort, you will also have the unique opportunity to actively shape the future of the program through direct collaboration and feedback.
Applications for the inaugural pilot cohort are officially open to educators ready to strengthen their coaching practice and expand opportunities for all learners through UDL. Because this is a specialized pilot cohort, space is strictly limited, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected applicants will be notified by the end of August 2026.
