Overview

Join us for a free webinar with accessibility consultant Jan McSorley to learn about the Vendor in Good Standing (VIGS) Framework—a practical, customizable approach to managing relationships with ed tech vendors. Participants will learn how to leverage VIGS to increase vendor accountability for making continuous improvement in accessibility. When vendors take ownership of the accessibility of their products, schools can more effectively meet accessibility compliance requirements and support better outcomes for students with disabilities.

In this 30 minute free webinar, we will cover:

  1. 100% Accessibility vs. continuous improvement.
  2. The importance of a collaborative relationship between vendors and schools.
  3. How consistent data collection protects both the school and the vendor.
  4. How schools can start small and build as they get systems in place.

About AEMing for Access

In AEMing for Access, CAST brings educators together for 30 minutes on the third Thursday of each month to talk about specific topics related to accessibility in education. How are you approaching accessibility in your learning environment? Need some new ideas? Stuck on a challenge? Eager to share with others? Participants will leave with usable, bite-size information. Think of it like office hours with a focus on accessibility, accessible educational materials, and accessible and assistive technologies. We look forward to seeing you there!
