Headshot of Katie Bevan

Katie Bevan is a Research Associate at CAST, where she works with the research and development team on literature review, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and report development. After working in special education advocacy, she obtained a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology in order to further her interest in understanding how students learn. She is excited to use these perspectives to support the CAST mission to transform education design and practice.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys reading, gardening, and hiking. You will often find her around town or exploring Chicagoland with her family and their black lab, Lola.

My Inspiration

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!"

– Dr. Seuss

This simple and catchy quote is a reminder of how important and transformative education can be.

"Whatever you are, be a good one."

– attributed to Abraham Lincoln

I find it an inspirational thought that, while goals will look different for each individual, we can always work towards growth and improvement.
