    Accessible educational materials and technologies provide opportunities for learners with disabilities to “acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services” as learners without disabilities, in a substantially equivalent, equally integrated and equally effective manner. One format that authors of OERs can choose is EPUB. In this session, participants will learn about best practices for ensuring the accessibility of OER EPUB publications, including the proper use of metadata to enhance the discovery and use of those publications for learning.
