Together, we’ll implement high leverage and evidence-based practices for building statewide and local systems for the timely provision and effective use of AEM and accessible technologies for all learners who need them. Join us for an information session on the benefits and responsibilities of being an AEM Cohort state, as well as the specifics of the application process for joining the cohort.

    If you’re an AEM State Contact and/or a NIMAC State Coordinator, you play a critical role in ensuring that accessible educational materials are provided in a timely manner to the students in your state who need them. Whether you’re new or have a history in this position, please join the NIMAC and the AEM Center as we discuss the importance of these roles, responsibilities, and the technical assistance and resources available to you. We’ll reserve plenty of time for your questions. This is the first of two joint webinars to support the work of AEM State Contacts and NIMAC State Coordinators. Early in 2018, the NIMAC and the AEM Center will co-present on the provision of NIMAS files and related topics.

    Let’s explore the guideline, to “provide options for physical access,” and specifically look at checkpoints which support assistive technologies and accessible educational materials. An overview of the UDL guidelines, and specifically Multiple Means of Action and Expression, will be reviewed. Examples of physical action in the curriculum will be given and aligned with the importance of the provision of AEM.
