    CAST is pleased to announce that it will join three other partners in Massachusetts to launch state-funded effort to strengthen and improve the process for writing Individualized Education Programs, or IEPs. CAST joins the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy, the Federation for Children with Special Needs, and BlackPrint Education Consulting in forming the Students and Families First Coalition (SFFC).

He introduced me to Universal Design for Learning and Bobby, the tool to assess website accessibility.

    When Dr. Emiliano Ayala and I launched our U.S. Department of Education-funded "Ensuring Access through Collaboration & Technology" project in 2005, we were inspired by CAST. We adopted the UDL framework to work with hundreds of faculty to redesign courses applying the UDL principles. Most faculty do not have a formal background in effective teaching or learning science. The UDL framework provided an approachable method for faculty to realize more effective, inclusive, and accessible teaching practices.
