When the COVID-19 crisis emerged, CAST’s Professional Learning team sprung into action to support remote learning across New Hampshire.

CAST has been leading the statewide New Hampshire UDL Innovation Network project, a multiyear effort to support teachers in using inclusive learning design to meet the needs of all learners, including those with disabilities and learning differences.

CAST and the UDL-IRN have created an online platform for teachers in Learning Designed, a place where educators can share best practices, access just-in-time resources to enhance remote learning, and build their skills in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), the framework endorsed by all major US education legislation.

New Hampshire educators, in the newly created New Hampshire Department of Education group in Learning Designed, can ask questions directly to accessibility and education experts, share ideas and best practices, attend webinars, participate in professional development, or view pre-recorded professional development videos. It’s a go-to resource for supporting all learners.

Learning Designed is also open to anyone seeking high-quality resources for professional learning or credentials focused on UDL. Visit learningdesigned.org to join the community today.

From all of us at CAST, we are sending our best wishes during this unusual and uncertain time. We realize the coronavirus pandemic is a complex challenge for everyone. Together, we will continue to work tirelessly for learners everywhere, until learning has no limits.

Contact info@learningdesigned.org if you'd like to learn more about using Learning Designed for your school, district, state, or organization. And don’t forget our many resources available through the National Center for Accessible Education Materials (AEM Center) at CAST and UDL on Campus to make sure that all learners can access and learn from educational resources.
