Presenter Instructions: Follow the slides, demonstrate how the features of Microsoft® Word are used in instruction, and offers hands-on instruction. In order to facilitate this session, you need to understand how to apply the following advanced features of Microsoft® Word 2000 in instruction to improve learning outcomes for diverse learners:

Prior to the session, make sure all participant computers have the following available:
Microsoft® Word 2000

A selection of public domain text saved in a format compatible with Microsoft Word. For example, a selection from The Scarlet Letter (doc).

Virtually every Windows computer in use today has a copy of Microsoft® Word installed on it. Many educators use Microsoft® Word for routine writing and word processing tasks, but are unaware of several capabilities of this product that have pedagogical potential.
