Describing Images Model Three: Math

Images can be an effective way to demonstrate mathematical relationships such as "perimeter," or "area." Students who struggle with visual information will benefit from image descriptions in addition to cross-media transformations such as manipulatives. “Alt” text and long descriptions can increase accessibility for all students by highlighting essential features of the image.
