Collecting Images Model One: Finding Images
Teachers often need to find specific images to use in their teaching--perhaps to insert in a slide show, overhead, poster, or handout--in order to communicate a learning goal best conveyed visually.
Here are the steps 7th grade Language Arts teacher might follow to find an image for a handout for her students:
1 Go to a search engine such as Google by entering the address, www.google.com, into an Internet browser. 2 Select "Images" tab in Google and enter a keyword such as "writing process." 3 View the results and go to a Website that seems promising. 4 Save desired image to appropriate folder on hard drive or school network. 5 Create a document to keep track of when, where, how images were found.
