New Profit, a national venture philanthropy organization, has awarded $100,000 to CAST and the UDL Implementation and Research Network (UDL-IRN) to support the development and launch of Universal Design for Learning K-12 school-level certifications as part of a larger multi-year UDL Certification and Credentialing Initiative (UDL-CCI).
Inspired by the mission and strategic vision of CAST, the Implementation Specialist plays a key role on CAST’s Professional Learning team and supports the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in the field of education specifically as it relates to assisting teams in re-designing their IEP process and improving services to students with disabilities using UDL.
Director of Professional Learning
As Director of Professional Learning, Jennifer Levine oversees the design and delivery of products and services related to the implementation of Universal Design for Learning in schools, districts, and states.

Linda Gerstle was named CAST's Chief Executive Officer in 2016.
Director of Finance
Susan joined CAST in 2019 to manage the financial and compliance aspects of its federal and private grant portfolio, including budgeting, contracting, financial management and reporting.

CAST Professional Publishing announced today that it has signed an agreement with the QIAT Leadership Team to publish Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology: A Comprehensive Guide to AT Services later this year.

The TIES Center mission is to create sustainable changes in school and district educational systems so that students with significant cognitive disabilities can fully engage in the same instructional and non-instructional activities as their general education peers while being instructed in a way that meets individual learning needs.
