With the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many New Hampshire teachers found UDL even more essential than ever during such uncertain times.

CAST Science Writer guided students through the science report-writing process. The UDL-supported tool provided myriad opportunities for practice — a critical element to successful reading or writing strategy instruction.

CAST is partnering with CTE educators across the state of Massachusetts to build their knowledge and skills in the Universal Design for Learning framework to design instruction for all CTE students, including students with disabilities.

Advanced technology programs at postsecondary institutions can't recruit high school students fast enough to keep up with the demand for expertly trained technicians. CAST, along with community college and technical institution partners, are addressing the barriers students face in these programs to increase the diversity of the talent pool for technical careers.
