Preparing New Teachers

Introduction

The goal of Preparing New Teachers to Expand Instructional Approaches for Reaching All High School Students project is to provide teacher candidates with necessary knowledge and skills in the theory, principles, and application of UDL as an integral component of methods courses so that they will successfully address the diversity of their high school students. This project builds on CAST’s conceptual and pedagogical framework of UDL that supports educators in differentiating their instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments. There are five identified phases of project work and as outlined below, we are making good progress to achieve the project goals.
