ARRA - CAST PD Offerings

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Education Stimulus CAST offers professional development and custom consultation services that align with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Education Stimulus funding by supporting the goals of the IDEA, Title I and Education Technology (Title IID) programs.

Our offerings provide educators with evidence-based practices and instructional strategies to support all students in meeting academic standards in reading, mathematics, social studies, science, and writing. On-Site Institute Pricing and Follow-up Support

The fee for CAST’s two-day institutes with follow-up support is $795 per person. A minimum of 18 participants is required to run an institute, with a maximum of 40 participants. All institutes are designed as a two-day face-to-face workshop with follow-up that includes two webinars, 8 hours of professional support, and access to a resource-rich website. For an additional fee, direct face-to-face follow-up can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. Typically, it is best to schedule this follow-up no more than 6 weeks after the initial institute.

Customized Consultation Services

Custom Consultation Services are available at your site and are designed to meet your goals and challenges in improving learning outcomes for all students with the goal of developing a strategic plan. Customizable district-wide consultation and implementation services are available upon request to address the challenges faced by states and school districts that are committed to improving learning outcomes for all students.

The guiding framework for these services is Universal Design for Learning. In order to successfully embrace and implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL), it is expected that educators recognize a shift in the way they view the curricula (goals, methods, materials, and assessments) that have traditionally been used in schools. As such, integral to the success of this system-wide approach to curriculum design and implementation is a district commitment to a multiphase, long term approach to increasing achievement for all students.
