Job Description & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced software developer to help create web- and mobile-based, multimedia educational research prototypes and products. You would be working in a small, collaborative team of scientists, teachers, designers, and programmers on projects that push the boundaries of educational research, practice, and technology.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience building significant web applications. We would like to see experience with one or more of the following: Java, Apache Wicket, Hibernate, SQL databases, mobile app development, HTML & CSS, EPub.
An understanding of accessibility is a big plus, as is experience with scientific data analysis and related tools, and a master’s degree in a technical field.
You should be comfortable working in a small team using Agile methodologies, where key skills include flexibility, fast learning, clear communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Interest and experience in the educational and/or research fields would be very helpful.
