Kathy Kuy joined CAST in 2000 as Director of Major Gifts, a role that draws on her many years of experience in development for nonprofit organizations.
Ms. Kuy has been Program Development Director for Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA), where she built the capacity of the organization at the national, state, regional, and local levels in the areas of technology, learning disabilities, and family literacy. She has also been Vice President of Planning and Development for a Massachusetts special education and child welfare agency serving over 7,000 children, adolescents, and adults each year. In addition to directing development efforts for a legal foundation and an international institute, Ms. Kuy has managed an English as a Second Language department serving over 700 multi-ethnic adult students annually, and has taught ESL and French.
Ms. Kuy holds an M.A.T. from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT, and an undergraduate degree in Education from the University of Maine.
