As a Development Associate, Janet Gronneberg helps execute CAST’s comprehensive federal and private fundraising strategy in support of CAST’s research and development in Universal Design for Learning. Major responsibilities include identifying trends in the evolving education and funding landscape, cultivating and stewarding relationships with funders, and supporting CAST project teams through the proposal and report writing process.
As a Communication and Dissemination Specialist for the National Center on Accessible Instructional Materials (NCAIM), Janet is part of a collaborative team working with state education agencies, local education agencies and other stakeholders to support effective systems to speed the delivery of high-quality accessible instructional materials to students with print disabilities. Janet is responsible for implementing effective communications within OSEP’s TA&D network and for collaborating in the creation of appropriate media for dissemination to states, districts, families, individuals with print disabilities, publishers and accessible media producers.
Before joining CAST in 2007, Janet was a research and writing tutor for struggling post-secondary students at Endicott College in Beverly, MA. Prior to tutoring at Endicott, she worked as a reading and math coach in the Boxford Elementary Schools. She also has experience in the private sector working for the management consulting firm, Bain & Company in Boston for ten years within the corporate training and development group.
She holds a BA in American Studies from Colby College and a Master's in Education, with a specialty in Organizational Management, from the Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Endicott College.
