Patricia Previte

Teacher, Ipswich (MA) Middle School

An experienced reading and English teacher at Ipswich (MA) Middle School, Patricia Previte has worked at the cutting edge of education technology, providing computer-enhanced instruction long before it became mainstream.

From 2002–2005, Ms. Previte participated in CAST's Model Classroom Project, helping to universally design curriculum to support diverse learners.

At Ipswich, Ms. Previte has helped secure grants to fund the school’s technology hardware, software, and professional development. In addition, she has served on the School Council, on the Subject Area Committee (SAC) for language arts, and as Grade 6 Team Leader for four years. Ms. Previte says that teaching at Ipswich, with its enthusiastic students and supportive administration, has been a highlight of her life.

She attended Cornell University and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Salem State College.
